What every home owner dreads. A necessary evil in order to maintain either the safety entering your home or the aesthetics of the property. Typically both factors are at play when the final decision to fix the weathered stairs/patio/walkway/retaining wall.

Sometimes patch fixes work, saves some money if you can reuse some of the stones. When making this sometimes hard decision you have to weigh some factors. The labour to carefully dismantle and rebuild hoping that you have enough good material available over just removing the old and starting from fresh. Understandably, cost plays a big factor in this decision.  Most larger repairs tend to be more cost effective to treat as a new project.
